I admit that I'm a bit self conscious about the middle aged spread that's besieged my body. I'm having a real hard time these days accepting that I no longer look like Beyonce (ha!) and I have to dress perhaps a bit more conservatively...something like a grown up. Not that I looked like a street walker or court jester back in my 20's , but I certainly tried to stylishly fit in. Nowadays, my body parts seemed to have all gone down south and I live in New York....Sad.
So, the question is: how far should we go to look young, hip and desirable? Are there clothes items that should be restricted to certain body types/weights or does anything go regardless of how big your curves are? Inquiring minds want to know.
I often find myself in a trance when I see women strutting around in apparel (like leggings) that I wouldn't wear. Admittedly, I'm not sure whether I'm horrified at what I see or jealous that I don't have the nerve to pull it off.
