Well, warmth is finally here and this mid section mound in between my boobs and thighs (no doublt filled with post-yummy desserts & snacks) just won't deflate. I've been trying with a great deal of sensible effort to lose this extra belly fat before it was picture taking time. I confess....I've been a bit agitated about having to bare arms (and legs, and full body parts). I committed to the resurgence of early mornning power walks and advanced workout classes to jump start these fat cells into shape. Frustratingly (is that even a word?), nothing I've tried has worked. Until 2 days ago.....
I must be living in a cocoon, because I'd never heard of the red wine vinegar boost for weight loss. I'm never a fan of these "lose 100 pounds in one day" type gimmicks. But, I thought I'd give it a try. So, I'm pleased to report to the world and to others struggling with the same challenges, I've lost 2 pounds in 2 days. The belly fat has been significantly reduced and my appetite has taken a dive. I'm still eating healthy though...oatmeal, fruits, veggies and protein throughout the day - just not as much. All is takes (first thing in the morning) is: 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon of honey and a little warm water to mix. My research tells me that red wine vinegar is actually healthy for you, especially if you have diabetic symptoms. It's been known to lower blood pressure, cholesterol levels and even the great Dr. Oz recommends it. It's natural, not harmful and works. I'm hooked. See you at the beach (I'll be the one with the fierce 2-piece swimsuit on).

When I heard on the radio yesterday that Skechers had been sued for $50 million dollars for misrepresenting their sneaker brand by claiming weight loss and a super toned body, I breathed a sigh of ...... "I told you so's".
Somehow I knew all along that their sneaker advertising claims were just too good to be true. Admittedly, I never bought a pair, but asked everybody who did, if they got the results the company said they would. You can always tell when a person doesn't want to admit that they got suckered into buying something that didn't work....they never give you a firm "yes" or even look you in the eye while they respond. Like the time I tried the Japanese detoxing pads. You can find these silly pad packs at the counters of the local drug stores. Well, I felt like an absolute fool when my research revealed (after my purchase, of course) that the pads don't remove toxins from your body at all. The iron in the pad reacts to the perspiration on your feet and "rusts" the pad - making you think that it's removing harmful cooties and mysterious voodoo stuff from your body. Give me a freakin' break! Whew! Soooooo....... looks like we're back to good ole' fashion exercise, weight training and toning at the gym or in the hood. No more "fast & easy" remedies for getting my big butt in shape with these miracle marketing ploys. Not buying Sketchers, weight-loss pills that melt 10 lbs. of fat in 2 days or that abs cruncher that doubles as a park bench. Well, you know what I mean.... |
