I really hate that awful feeling you get when you know you should have said something, and you didn't. The overwhelming feeling of guilt and "shoulda, coulda, woulda" just seems to take over your brain waves and mess up your whole day. A perfect example: making an appointment for a new hair-do, not being specific about what you want and hating the end results.
So glad that doesn't happen to me anymore. I love my hair stylist. She's incredibly educated about hair (as most stylists are) and she shares her knowledge with her clients. I mean why do stylists go through the whole educational process and not share what they've learned?!?
Your "best friend" in the salon should be able to recognize if your diet has changed...thus changing the feel and texture of your hair. Or recommend treatments/products and tell you why you need them. Your hair doctor should treat your hair and prescribe remedies to alleviate any problems you might be having AND the painful stares you could get from passersby. I'd expect nothing less from her/him.
My role on the other hand, is to gently demand that she keep me informed....tell me what she's doing...why I need another protein conditioner....how much she's cutting off and where....If I don't tell her what I WANT, she'll never know! YOUR STYLIST IS NOT A MIND READER!!!
